Graduating Students

To graduate, all AIT students in degree programs must score 6.0 or higher on the academic writing placement test (or officially accepted equivalent) or complete EL19 with a passing score before they can enroll for thesis/dissertation credit, or graduate from AIT (some programs that do not offer degrees may be excluded from this requirement).

English Requirements

Students who achieve a score of 6.0 or higher on the academic writing placement test (or officially accepted equivalent) are not required to attend English Language (EL) courses. Students who have not attained a score of 6.0 on the academic writing placement test will be automatically enrolled in the following mandatory English Language (EL) courses. All required academic English literacy courses throughout the duration of study (focusing on oral expression, academic text analysis and academic writing) are included in the 5,000 Thai Baht one-time flat fee that students are required to pay at entry. The EL course level will be automatically assigned based on a student’s current English score:

  • 5.0 EL15 Intermediate English Composition
  • 5.5 EL19 Academic and Technical Writing
